We have created our own environment movement ‘Living Green’, which inspires care for our environment as a ‘Way of Life’ throughout our hotels, for both our people and our guests. Each of our hotels has a dedicated ‘Environment Impact Team’ who ensure we are continuously reducing our environmental impact.

Our hotels are accredited with ‘Green Tourism’, an organisation that gives us a structured framework with continuous audits and assessments. Over 80% of our hotels have been awarded the Gold Award from Green Tourism with the remaining hotels all awarded the Silver Award. Guests are assured that when choosing to stay in one of our hotels they are part of a wider community of people who care about reducing their own carbon footprint. Throughout our hotel group, we offer 13 Club Vitae leisure centres offering fully equipped gym, swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna. We have onsite Dry gyms in most hotels with weights section, cardio machines and stretching area. Our front desk teams will offer local knowledge of running routes & bike trails.

Nutrition is a big part of our wellbeing, our head chef’s source local, high quality food. We offer seasonal tailor-made menus keeping our guests needs in mind. Vitality Breakfast is Clayton & Maldron’s signature breakfast providing a range of ‘power up’ breakfast items high in energy & protein to kick start your day, “healthy hydration station” with flavoured waters and juices at breakfast.

Our hotel bedrooms have been specially designed with our guests in mind to guarantee a great night’s sleep. Part of our extensive annual refurbishment programme includes bespoke King coil mattresses with quilted memory foam topper ensuring guests feel recharged the next morning. All of our new hotels also feature these mattresses.


We introduced a Keep Safe Programme for all hotels and work with Bureau Veritas, a trusted global leader in testing,
inspections and certification. Utilising this expertise, we are ensuring best practice and full implementation and compliance of our measures in all of our hotels. Procedures and policies are subject to a rigorous review and on-site assessments by Bureau Veritas in order to achieve the accreditation for each

Our lone traveller policy ensures we offer guests who travel alone a chance to feel completely secure and relaxed whilst enjoying their stay with us.

We have a defibrillator in all hotels and trained staff in case of emergency.

Fire safety systems (and all life safety systems) are maintained & certified to the highest of standards, with detectors & sounders in all areas, supported by an excellent operational fire safety strategy on site.
