Do you offer early check-In?

Check-in is from 3.00pm on the day of arrival. Early check-in is subject to availability and incurs a €10.00 charge per hour. The only way to guarantee an early check-in is to book the room from the day prior to arrival.

You are welcome to leave luggage with our reception team.

Do you offer late check-out?

Check-out is 11.00am on the day of departure. Late check-out is subject to availability and incurs a fee of €40 for 1pm checkout and €80 for 4pm checkout. If you plan to avail of a late check-out please arrange with our reception team during your stay.

How late can I check into the hotel?

Is there somewhere I can leave my bag if arrive early, or after I check out?

Yes, we can store luggage before check-in or after check-out. Luggage storage is only available on dates that are part of the guests stay at the hotel.

Does the hotel have Wi-Fi?

Yes, complimentary WiFi is available throughout all areas of the hotel including all guest bedrooms.

Are pets allowed at the hotel?

No, pets are not allowed in the hotel, with the exception of guide and assistance animals.

What do I do if I accidentally leave some items in the hotel?

Items found in the hotel will be held for security by housekeeping for 90 days. For enquiries just contact reception or call the hotel directly.

Is there parking near the hotel?

Yes, at the CCD underground car park Spencer Dock, North Wall Quay. This car park is a 2-minute walk from the hotel. Additional car parking information can be found on our Location page.

The CCD Underground car park Spencer Dock is open daily from 07:00 – 00:00.

How much do I pay for parking?

Parking rates at CCD underground car park Spencer Dock are €3.80 per hour or €25 per day, with an an overnight rate of €16 from 6.00pm to 9.00am. You can pre-book parking up to two weeks in advance.

There are a number of car parking options located near the hotel. Please note opening times and charges are subject to change. We advise guests to check with the car park operator’s website for the most up to date information.

How do I get to your hotel?

Travelling to The Samuel Hotel could not be easier. We are situated in the heart of Dublin and perfectly served by public transport with Busáras (central bus station), Connolly Rail Station and Dart services all only a 10-minute walk away. The red line Luas tram stop is right outside the hotel. Directions to the hotel can be found here.

How far am I from the main shopping areas?

The two main shopping streets in Dublin are Grafton Street on the south side and Henry Street on the north side. Both streets are a 20-25-minute walk from the hotel, alternatively, you can hop on the Luas or jump in a taxi.

What are the public transport links to Dublin city?

The Samuel Hotel is centrally located in the heart of modern Dublin with transport links right on our doorstep. We are located directly across the road from the Spencer Dock Luas stop on the red line and have numerous bus stops within a 1 or 2 minute walk of the hotel. Many of Dublin’s attractions are within easy walking distance.

Dublin airport is located 13km or 17 minutes from the hotel.

How much is a taxi from Dublin airport to Dublin city centre?

The journey time is approximately 25-30 minutes but may be longer during peak times. You can expect to pay between €30.00 – €35.00.

Do you have rooms that accommodate 2 adults and 3 children?

No, our largest room can accommodate 2 adults and 2 children. However, we do offer interconnecting rooms that can accommodate 2 adults and 3 children. For more information or to book an interconnecting bedroom please contact the hotel directly at

Are there smoking rooms in the hotel?

No, all our guest rooms are non-smoking and we operate a strict no smoking policy throughout the entire hotel. A deep cleaning fee will be charged to guests who are found to be in breach of our no smoking policy.

Can I get a cot for my child?

Yes, cots can be provided, subject to availability. We would recommend guests request the use of a cot at the time of making their reservation to avoid disappointment. We do not provide camp beds.

What are the opening hours of the hotel gym?

Our gym is open 7 days a week exclusively for hotel guests from 6.00am – 10.00pm.

Is there a laundry service available?

Yes, we offer a same-day laundry service. Please note that additional charges are applicable.

Do you supply travel adapters?

Yes, travel adapters can be purchased from the hotel (subject to availability).

Do the bedroom TVs have Netflix and YouTube?

All our TV’s offer Chromecast facilities, which enable you to stream content to it. Guests can easily stream services such as Netflix, BT Sports, Now TV, Amazon Prime Video or Disney+. For international travellers Chromecast provides a facility for you to to watch home channels and on-demand services.

Are there hairdryers in the bedrooms?

Yes, all our bedrooms are equipped with hair dryers.

Are there wheelchair accessible rooms available?

All our deluxe rooms are air-conditioned. It can control how hot or cold the room is.

Do the bathrooms have a shower or bath?

Not all private bathrooms have baths. Please request in advance, subject to availability.

Booking & Cancellation

Do I need a credit card to make a booking?

When making a booking online or via phone, a valid credit or debit card is required. This card is used to guarantee the booking only. An alternative card can be used to make payment at the hotel.

Will my credit/debit card be charged on booking

Nothing will be charged to the card at the booking stage when booking directly with the hotel (with the exception of advance purchase offers or bookings that require a deposit. This will be clearly outlined in the special offer terms and conditions). The hotel reserves the right to pre-authorise cards prior to arrival to guarantee the booking. Should the card decline, we reserve the right to advise of this accordingly and should a valid card not be provided by 2.00pm on the day of arrival, the hotel reserves the right to cancel the reservation. The holding amount is for the value of your first night’s stay. We would always recommend making bookings with credit cards where possible.

A pre-authorisation is a holding on your card, it would normally show up on your bank account as a pending transaction. When you arrive at the hotel, we can either complete this transaction (keep the funds) or reverse the pre-authorisation, allowing you to pay by cash or by another card. Please note pre-authorisations on debit cards can take up to 10 working days to be released by your bank.

Can I cancel my booking?

If you booked on our website, you can amend or cancel your booking online by clicking the ‘Manage Booking’ at the top of our website. To access this section of the website your will need your confirmation number. Alternatively, you can also contact our reservations department or email We offer free cancellation up to 2.00pm the day prior to arrival unless an advance purchase non-refundable rate was selected. Please note that some special offers and key dates outlined in the terms and conditions may specify a special cancellation policy applicable to that offer and date.

What age are children for the purpose of hotel packages?

Children under the age of 2 can stay complimentary in the hotel. For the purposes of packages, a child is noted as being aged between 2 and 12.
