Travelling to The Samuel Hotel could not be easier. We are situated in the heart of Dublin and conveniently served by public transport with Busáras (Central bus station), Connolly Rail Station and Dart services all only a 10-minute walk away. Additionally, the red line Luas tram stops right outside. Dublin Airport is only 17mins or 13kms away with buses stopping nearby at Custom House Quay.

Parking

The closest car park to the hotel is the Convention Centre Dublin’s ESPA gold awarded underground car park, managed by Euro Car Parks. It has 320 spaces, eight disabled spaces, two electric vehicle charging points and a height limit of 4m. It operates from 7.00am to midnight, 7 days a week.

Special discounted rate available to hotel guests at Convention Centre Car Park. Parking rates is €20.00 from 15.00pm to 14.00pm the next day (23 hours). To avail of this special offer you must pay for your parking at the Hotel Reception, which they will validate your ticket. If a guest wishes to park their car for longer than the time frame covered by our special rate, an additional cost of €4.00 per hour will apply.

Public Transport Options

Thinking of leaving your car at home and traveling to Dublin by public transport? We are conveniently located close to both Connolly Station and Heuston Station which link Dublin City with the rest of Ireland. If you decide to travel by public transport, the red Luas (tram) line stops directly outside the hotel (Spencer Dock stop) and we are only 10 minutes’ walk from Connolly Station.

Luas

The Luas red line stops directly outside the hotel with trams arriving every 10 mins during peak times. There are two lines for Luas trams: the red line; and the green line. More details on the Luas timetable and journey are available on the Luas website.

Connolly Train Station

The Samuel Hotel is located 10 minutes walk from Connolly Station with mainline train services including Belfast, Sligo and Longford and DART services to Malahide, Clontarf and Howth.

Spencer Dock Luas stop is directly outside our hotel. Walk 2 minutes from Connolly Station to Busáras Luas stop and take the red line tram service towards The Point.

Heuston Station

Catch the red line Luas tram from Heuston Station to the Spencer Dock stop, directly outside the hotel.

By Taxi

Taxis are available from outside both terminals. Journey time is typically 25 – 30 minutes and you can expect to pay between €30.00 – €35.00.

Please be aware an extra charge of €10 is applicable between 6.00am and 10.00am heading towards Dublin city Monday to Friday if your journey is via the Port Tunnel and the extra charge when you travel from the city towards Dublin Airport between 4.00pm and 7.00pm Monday to Friday.

Outside of these times the toll is €3 each way. Alternative routes that avoid the port tunnel are available

By Bus

Aircoach 702 services to Greystones and 703 to Killiney stop on East Wall Road, 10-minute’s walk from the hotel. Buses depart every 10-20 minutes, journeys cost €12.00 return or €7.00 one way and take approximately 25 minutes.

Dublin Express operates every 30 minutes with fares from €6.00 one way. The closest stop is Custom House Quay, 10 minutes walk from our front door.
